About the role

We are seeking a talented Welding Engineer to join our team at MILDEF INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES SDN BHD' in Bandar Sri Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan. As a Welding Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our manufacturing processes. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge engineering solutions.

What you'll be doing

  1. Designing, developing, and optimising welding procedures and techniques to meet or exceed industry standards
  2. Conducting weld testing and analysis to identify areas for improvement
  3. Providing technical guidance and training to production teams on welding best practices
  4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions
  5. Staying up-to-date with the latest welding technologies, materials, and industry regulations
  6. Documenting and reporting on welding activities to ensure compliance with quality standards

What we're looking for

  1. A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Welding Engineer in a manufacturing environment
  3. Proficient in using welding equipment and interpreting welding codes and standards
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve welding issues
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  6. Familiarity with quality management systems and procedures
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
