About the Role

Westpac Digital is looking for a creative and culturally aware Content Creator to develop engaging content ideas for our social media platforms. This role focuses on content ideation, storytelling, and trend-based content creation to connect with our audience in a relatable and responsible manner.

You will work closely with the marketing and operations team to ensure content is accurate, compliant, and aligned with the brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate content ideas for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
  • Create Malay-language content that is clear, engaging, and culturally relevant
  • Draft captions, short scripts, and storyboards for posts and short videos
  • Stay updated on local trends, viral formats, and audience behaviour
  • Ensure all content follows internal guidelines and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate with design or video teams for execution
  • Plan and maintain a basic content calendar

Requirements:

  • Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia (spoken & written)
  • Creative mindset with strong storytelling ability
  • Familiar with social media trends and short-form content
  • Comfortable generating ideas and presenting concepts
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms and formats
  • Experience in content creation, social media, or marketing is an advantage
  • Portfolio or past social media work is a plus
