Responsibilities:

  • Actively source, assess and research potential suppliers for machine components, materials and products from both local and overseas supply sources.
  • Make on-going efforts to identify new suppliers and review current suppliers to maintain a pool of qualified suppliers.
  • Foster strong supplier relationships and negotiation skills to secure best price, payment terms, lead time and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Work closely with suppliers on delivery scheduling, quality issues, component specifications and certification requirements.
  • Assist to arrange trainings with suppliers when required.
  • Manage, maintain and monitor project costings closely to achieve cost savings.
  • Manage end-to-end purchase order processes and maintain complete documentation of all orders and related records.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure cost-savings measure and on-time delivery for projects.
  • Enforce and ensure internal and external compliance to the company's procurement policies and procedures.
  • Perform procurement-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in procurement function, preferably in the semiconductor industry. Candidates with more years of relevant experience may be considered for a senior position.
  • Some technical knowledge in machine components will be an added advantage.
  • Strong command of both spoken and written English and Mandarin is required.
  • Team player with strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, responsible, committed and meticulous with a positive work attitude.
  • Self-driven, self-motivated and proactive.
  • Display a strong "can do" attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Able to work independently under pressure and tight schedules.

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM4, RM7,000.00 per month
