About the Role

Mestika Jasa Sdn Bhd is seeking a committed and experienced Accountant (Managing, Budgeting, Tax & Advisory) to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's financial operations, budgeting processes, tax compliance, and providing strategic financial advisory to support business growth and efficiency.

This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys both hands-on accounting work and providing insightful analysis to management in a dynamic and growing mining company.

What You'll Be Doing

- Manage and maintain the company's full set of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with MFRS and regulatory requirements.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.

- Develop and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow plans in coordination with management.

- Conduct cost analysis and performance reviews for projects and operations to ensure optimal resource utilization.

- Handle tax matters including preparation and submission of tax computations, returns, and ensuring compliance with all statutory tax obligations.

- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth and timely reporting.

- Provide financial analysis and advisory support to management for strategic and operational decisions.

- Identify opportunities for financial improvement, efficiency, and risk mitigation.

- Continuously enhance internal control systems, accounting processes, and reporting tools.

What We're Looking For

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, management reporting, or financial advisory (experience in mining or manufacturing industry is an advantage).

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (MFRS), taxation, and regulatory compliance.

- Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., SQL, Autocount, or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

- High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
