About the role

We are seeking an experienced Account/Account Assistant to join our dynamic team at H.S.TAY, BAHARIN AND PARTNERS' in Kuala Lumpur. As a key member of our Accounts department, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial operations of the firm.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate account records
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable tasks, including follow-up on outstanding payments
  • Provide support in the preparation of financial reports and statements
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
  • Perform other administrative and accounting-related duties as required

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an accounting or finance-related role, preferably within a professional services firm
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and best practices
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and under pressure
