Position: Senior Production Planner

Location: Selangor

Job Description:

  • Manage purchasing activities, including the preparation of Purchase Orders, Purchase Requisitions, and Requests for Quotation (RFQ).
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of ordered materials.
  • Maintain and update the SAP MRP database accurately and promptly to ensure data integrity.
  • Review and adjust safety stock levels based on material usage trends and forecast requirements.
  • Participate in supplier selection, evaluation, and performance review processes.
  • Monitor material and commodity levels to ensure adequate stock availability for production needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, quotations, and supplier information.
  • Coordinate with the shipping department on imported material shipments.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to resolve supplier invoicing issues.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Knowledge and Skills – Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline, with a strong command of English.
  • 5 - 7 working experience in logistics, supply chain, manufacturing or production
  • A team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to work additional hours when required.
  • Proficient in computer applications; SAP knowledge is an advantage.
