What you'll be doing?

• Prepare monthly consolidation and the quarterly report, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with subsidiaries for timely reporting and submission of financial data, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Review subsidiaries' taxation and deferred tax to ensure timely submission of tax computations, maintaining compliance with tax regulations.
• Review the Group reporting package and financial analysis, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure all reports comply with regulatory and statutory requirements, such as Bursa Malaysia reporting for listed companies.
• Ensure proper elimination of intercompany transactions and balances, maintaining the integrity of financial reporting.
• Prepare and coordinate announcements to Bursa Malaysia, including quarterly financial results, material transactions, changes in shareholdings, and other corporate disclosures.
• Ensure compliance with Listing Requirements, Companies Act 2016, SC guidelines, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with Company Secretary and external advisors on corporate compliance matters, fostering strong relationships and ensuring compliance.
• Assist in preparing materials for Board of Directors and Board Committee meetings, including financial reports, circulars, and papers.
• Circulate/maintain records of board resolutions, meeting minutes, and corporate approvals, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Support/updates compliance with corporate governance policies, maintaining high standards of governance.
• Prepare/coordinate the timely preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial reports for public release, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Work closely with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance, fostering strong relationships and maintaining compliance.
• Ensure all disclosures are accurate, consistent, and aligned with IFRS/MFRS and Bursa regulations, maintaining the integrity of financial reporting.
• Assist in preparing investor communication materials such as Annual Reports, AGM/EGM packs, press releases, and Q&A briefings, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
• Led and guided junior staff to ensure performance and growth aligned with team goals, fostering a culture of mentorship and growth.
• Carry out any other ad-hoc duties or tasks assigned by superiors or management as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Who are they looking for?

• Financial Reporting Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in financial reporting and consolidation with proven track record in financial analysis.
• Educational & Technical Background: At least diploma or above Accounting/Finance strong with knowledge of IFRS/MFRS accounting standards and Bursa Malaysia listing requirements.
• Language Skills: Fluent in Mandarin, English and Malay for effective communication with diverse stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for efficient data analysis and reporting.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for fostering strong relationships and effective stakeholder communication.
• Work Style: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills for effective resolution of complex financial and compliance issues.
• Leadership Experience: Experience in team leadership and staff development is advantageous for mentoring junior staff.
• External Relations: Experience working with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities is a plus.
