About the role

Mewah Group is seeking an experienced E&I Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Port Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. As an E&I Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting the electrical and instrumentation systems within the company's production facilities. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work in a challenging and dynamic environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation equipment, including motors, switchgears, control panels, and field instrumentation
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical and instrumentation systems, and implement effective solutions
  • Participate in the planning and execution of scheduled maintenance activities to ensure the optimal performance of production equipment
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and provide regular reports to management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of production facilities
  • Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance technicians and operators
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an E&I Maintenance Engineer or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLC programming, control systems, and field instrumentation
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical and instrumentation schematics and drawings
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with industry-standard maintenance practices and procedures
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
