Food Preparation

  • Assist chefs and cooks in basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning ingredients.
  • Prepare simple dishes under supervision (e.g., salads, sauces, marinades).
  • Weigh, measure, and label ingredients according to production requirements.
  • Support batch cooking and assembly-line food production tasks.

Kitchen Operations

  • Set up workstations with required tools, equipment, and ingredients.
  • Assist in packaging, labeling, and storing food items following safety standards.
  • Operate kitchen equipment (mixers, slicers, ovens, kettles) safely after training.
  • Follow production schedules and maintain workflow efficiency.

Hygiene, Safety & Cleaning

  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
  • Wash dishes, trays, and tools according to hygiene procedures.
  • Handle food waste and recycling according to kitchen policies.
  • Follow all food safety regulations (HACCP, FIFO, temperature control).
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.

Inventory & Storage

  • Assist with receiving, checking, and storing deliveries.
  • Label and rotate stock according to FIFO/FEFO procedures.
  • Maintain proper storage conditions (temperature, humidity, sanitation).

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Prior experience in a kitchen or food production environment preferred (not required).
  • Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and capable of standing for long periods, lifting items up to [X] kg.
  • Good time management and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or holidays as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1, RM2,000.00 per month
