Lead Contract Analyst, Procurement Contracts, JAPAC
ANALYST POSITION

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Extensive commodity knowledge, excellent written and oral communication, customer service, computer and negotiation skills, and ability to multitask. 8 plus years experience and BS/BA degree or equivalent. Law degree is desirable. Bi-lingual (English & Japanese) skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Review, draft and negotiate standard and non-standard contracts and supplier agreements, generally of mid to high level complexity for various services to mitigate Oracle's risk and ensure compliance with Oracle legal guidelines and Purchasing policy, with minimal managerial oversight or intervention
  • Review M&A agreements, assess break fees, and disposition agreements (if applicable)
  • Validate all aspects of contract packages for accuracy and compliance with Oracle's business practices and internal approvals
  • Draft executive approval requests for key legal clauses, including summary of business issues
  • Interface with lines of business/subsidiaries to understand unique requirements and opportunities to better tailor current processes and documents to end users' needs
  • Prepare contract status reports and complete contract log processing

  • 8 plus years contracts experience
  • BA/BS
  • Law Degree desirable
  • Bi-lingual (English & Japanese) - desired

Responsibilities
As a member of Oracle's Global Procurement Contracts team, this Lead Contracts Analyst will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and will be responsible for reviewing standard as well as non-standard Procurement contracts in Japanese as well as English Language, or bilingual contracts, of medium to high complexity, draft/redline and negotiate non-standard terms with Supplier legal team, and get contracts executed in compliance with Oracle's Procurement Policies and Legal Guidelines. Will require to perform these responsibilities with minimal supervision. Will also be responsible for ocassional review of the policies/guidelines and suggest modifications based on negotiation experience. Since the Lead Contracts Analyst is expected to bring 8 plus years of industry experience, he/she may also be required to train new hires and/or mentor fellow team members, when needed/assigned to do so. Will also be responsible to collaborate with Lines of Business and help them comply with Oracle Procurement Policies and Legal Guidelines while providing timely and high quality professional service.
