Job Summary**

The Senior QA Engineer will lead testing and automation efforts for lending applications, ensuring high-quality delivery across web, mobile, and API platforms. This role combines hands-on execution with mentoring, improving test automation coverage, and collaborating with developers and business teams to optimize SDLC processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, Cucumber, and Rest Assured.
  • Lead web and API manual testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Execute and support performance testing, analyzing results to drive improvements.
  • Review and optimize database queries and test data management for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines to accelerate releases.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers, providing guidance on automation best practices and testing techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and analysts to define acceptance criteria and identify quality risks early.
  • Maintain detailed test documentation and track defect trends to inform continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on QA best practices, emerging tools, and automation frameworks.

Requirements

  • 6-7 years of software testing experience (manual + automation).
  • Strong skills in:
  • Web & API Manual Testing
  • Java + Selenium/Cucumber
  • API Automation (Rest Assured)
  • Database Queries
  • Performance Testing
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and QA methodologies.
  • Exposure to financial and/or mobile applications is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and guide best practices.
