Job Summary:

You'll be the commercial finance business partner for our distributor network and 3rd-party logistics. Own distributor financial performance, contract negotiations and the financial modelling that drives commercial decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

3rd-party distributors management:

  • Manage relationships with 3rd-party distributors and logistics partners, including contract renegotiation and performance tracking.
  • Run profitability simulations for distributors and 3rd parties and advise commercial on margin impact and negotiation levers.
  • Ensure operational alignment between distributors, BAT and distributors internal finance teams.
  • Lead contract review inputs for distributor projects (commercial terms, fees, payment schedules, termination clauses).

Budgeting, planning & reporting:

  • Oversee H1 and FY planning: bottoms-up budgets, phasing and monthly/quarterly landing forecasts.
  • Produce weekly/monthly dashboards and ad-hoc slides for leadership (financial simulations, scenario analysis, variance explanations).
  • Ensure accuracy of financial inputs and provide clear recommendations based on modelling.

Internal control & compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to SOX and internal control standards related to OTC (order-to-cash) and distributor finance processes.
  • Support internal audits and implement remediation actions as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent. Professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/CIMA) is a plus.
  • More than 5 years of commercial finance / distributor finance experience, ideally with exposure to distributor networks, or FMCG distribution.
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation support and financial modelling for commercial decisions.
  • Advanced Excel modelling skills (financial simulations, sensitivity analysis).
  • Comfortable with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/other).
  • Proficiency on slides preparation (Microsoft PowerPoint).
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, able to push back and close issues with distributors and internal commercial teams.
  • Clear communicator; able to translate numbers into actionable commercial recommendations.
  • Good analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Proactive, pragmatic and commercially minded.
  • High degree of ownership and can run projects end-to-end and escalate appropriately.
  • Calm under pressure, decisive, and comfortable dealing with ambiguity and ad-hoc requests
