Finance & Account Manager - Multinational Company

A well-established multinational company in the manufacturing and power tools/industrial equipment industry is seeking a highly experienced Finance & Accounts Manager. This is a replacement position and requires strong hands-on financial management experience, especially from a Japanese company environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee full set of accounts and ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing.
  • Review financial statements, management reports, and statutory reporting.
  • Prepare and review budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct detailed financial and variance analysis (SG&A, COS, gross profit, inventory, sales mix).
  • Provide insights that support strategic planning and business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Warehouse, and other departments.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and relevant authorities.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of reporting.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and enhance financial reporting processes.

Requirements

  • Must have experience working in a Japanese company (mandatory).
  • Mandarin-speaking candidates preferred (for internal communication).
  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in finance or accounting.
  • Strong background in consolidated accounting and financial operations.
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to translate financial data into strategic insights.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-department coordination skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance or professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CAT) preferred.
