Project Manager

Job Description:

• Work closely with architects and façade consultants to translate architectural visions into compelling lighting concepts.
• Generate conceptual sketches, lighting narratives, and mood boards for client presentations.
• Develop detailed lighting layouts, wiring schematics, fixture mounting details, and control system diagrams.
• Specify lighting fixtures, drivers, controls, and accessories suited to Malaysia's climate, electrical standards, and building codes.
• Liaise with project teams, contractors, and suppliers throughout tendering, procurement, and installation phases.
• Review shop drawings, mock-up samples, and factory test results for compliance with design intent.
• Ensure all lighting designs meet Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) standards and relevant local council regulations (DBKL, MBPJ, etc.).
• Incorporate energy-efficient and low-maintenance lighting systems aligned with GBI, LEED, or GreenRE requirements.
• Prepare clear technical documentation, reports, and visualizations for client approval.
• Present designs and mock-ups to clients and authorities when necessary.
• Work in tandem with internal design, M&E, and BIM teams for coordination and quality assurance.
• Attend site inspections, assist with aiming/focus sessions, and participate in commissioning and testing.
• Specify suitable lighting fixtures and control systems that meet aesthetic, performance, energy-efficiency, and budget requirements.
• Developing comprehensive project plans, including defining scope, objectives, timelines and budget
• Assembling and leading a project team, assigning tasks, and providing direction and motivation
• Identifying and mitigating potential project risks that could impact project success
• Manages project budgets, tracking of expenses, and ensuring financial goals are met
• Liaise and hold meetings with clients and Sub contractor to ensure that all requirements by clients and relevant authorities are adhered
• Maintaining clear and regular communication with the project stakeholders, including Sub Contractors, vendors, team members and upper management.
• Ensure all projects deliverable meets quality standards and specifications.
• Able to handle changes in project scopes or objectives and assessing the impact on the projects.
• Always ensure compliance with industry standards, best practice and relevant regulations are met
• Able to allocate time efficiently and meet projects deadlines
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the immediate superior/ Senior Project Manager / Director

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Constructions Management / Architecture/ Interior Design / M&E or any other qualifications related to building or construction industries.
• Minimum 10 years working experience in similar capacity with exposure to high rise residential or commercial projects interiors design works, architecture works, façade works, façade engineering.
• Required skills: AUTOCAD, Revit
• Possess CIDB qualification.
• Has proven track record of completing the projects within budget, time frame and quality achieved.
• Independent, proactive, technically competent and team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Possess teamwork spirit, problem solving skills and able to work independently.
• Able to speak, read and write in English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia. (in order to liaise with the English & Mandarin speaking oversea vendors)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM6, RM10,000.00 per month
