Cybersecurity Manager
to join their team in
Kuala Lumpur.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the group's cybersecurity strategy in alignment with business objectives and regulatory obligations.
  • Oversee security operations, including monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and forensic investigation.
  • Lead continuous improvement of information security controls, policies, and standards across all regions and platforms.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with international and regional standards (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR, NIST, and local gaming regulations).
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to align security posture with evolving jurisdictional requirements.
  • Manage the daily operations and introduce a new Security Operations Centre (SOC), ensuring timely detection and response to incidents.
  • Establish and maintain key security metrics and dashboards for executive reporting.
  • Oversee vendor relationships for security tools, audits, and managed services.
  • Work closely with DevOps, Infrastructure, and Product teams to embed security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
  • Support awareness programs, security training, and culture-building initiatives across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Act as the primary liaison for cybersecurity matters with regulators, auditors, and external partners.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
  • 7+ years' experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a managerial or lead role.
  • Deep technical expertise in network security, cloud security (AWS / Azure / GCP), endpoint protection, and SIEM management.
  • Experience in gaming, fintech, or other high-volume transactional industries preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer) are desirable.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in English; proficiency in an Asian language (Mandarin, Thai, Bahasa, etc.) is an advantage.
