Job Summary

The Marketing Manager will lead and oversee all marketing campaigns related to assigned projects and product launches, from strategic planning through to execution, to achieve both marketing and business objectives. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams across Marketing & Partnerships, as well as external stakeholders. The Marketing Manager will also work hand-in-hand with in-park tenants to drive promotions and enhance publicity for their outlets.

Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage marketing campaigns for assigned partnerships, product launches, Sunway Theme Parks content, and related marketing initiatives.
    • Identify, pitch, and secure new in-park tenants to contribute to retail and Food & Beverage revenue streams.
    • Develop comprehensive marketing strategies and detailed execution plans encompassing creative development, localization, media buying, publicity, promotional tie-ins, synergy, and event management.
    • Coordinate closely with the publicity team on media buying, creative production, public relations, events, and digital marketing to ensure seamless execution of marketing plans.
  • Manage and oversee tie-in promotions, including pitching, negotiation, and project management.
    • Collaborate with various departments such as Operations, Publishing, Digital Platforms, and Corporate Communications to plan and execute event promotions.
    • Handle ad hoc projects and franchise marketing activities as assigned.

Job Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communications, Business, Public Relations, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 to 8 years' experience in marketing, corporate communications, or brand management.
    • Experience in theme parks, hospitality, entertainment, tourism, or lifestyle sectors is advantageous.
    • Strong command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus, reflecting our service to Chinese-speaking clients.
    • Excellent media relations and stakeholder management skills.
    • Creative thinker with solid business acumen and a results-oriented approach.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
    • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Willingness to work during weekends, public holidays, and peak periods as required.
