Senior Specialist, Enterprise Risk, AI

About the Role

We are looking for an innovative and highly skilled Senior Specialist, Enterprise Risk, AI & Data Intelligence to join our team at RHB Bank. This role carries a Group-wide mandate, working closely with regional risk teams, business lines, and risk pillars within the Group Risk Division to embed AI, machine learning, and data intelligence into enterprise-wide risk management practices. You will drive the development of AI/ML use cases, strengthen risk intelligence capabilities, and support the bank's risk transformation agenda.

What you will be doing

• This role has a Group-wide mandate, working closely with risk teams across all regions, business lines, and risk pillars within the Group Risk Division to embed AI and data intelligence into enterprise-wide risk management practices.
• Identify and develop AI, machine learning, and data intelligence use cases across risk domains, aligned with the bank's strategic priorities and risk transformation goals.
• Conduct feasibility assessments, including cost-benefit, complexity, and risk-return analyses, to prioritize pilot initiatives and scalable AI/ML solutions.
• Assist the Head of Department in designing, developing and institutionalizing the comprehensive AI and data intelligence framework that enables proactive, data-driven decision-making across risk types, customer segments, regions, and business lines.

AI and Data Intelligence Capabilities

• Develop and maintain a strategic suite of AI/ML models, including NLP, time series forecasting, clustering, graph analytics, and anomaly detection.
• Design and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions that generate actionable risk insights, enhance risk detection, and improve decision-making across the risk organization.
• Coordinate AI and data intelligence initiatives across the Group, ensuring consistent application, governance, risk model transparency, and scalability across risk types, geographies and business segments.
• Collaborate with regional risk teams, business lines, and central functions to identify cross-cutting risk intelligence opportunities, cross-functional use cases support enterprise-wide risk monitoring and mitigation strategies.
• Partner with domain experts and risk owners to translate complex requirements into data-driven, AI-powered solutions.
• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize high-value AI/ML use cases that support effective risk management and control enhancement.
• Drive alignment of risk AI initiatives with the broader enterprise risk strategy and transformation roadmap.
• Establish automated pipelines for continuous risk insight generation, risk model training, validation, deployment, monitoring and refresh cycles.
• Ensure risk AI/ML models are interpretable, auditable and compliant with internal governance and regulatory standards.
• Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation of document risk modeling methodologies, development rationale, validation results, and deployment protocols in line with audit and governance requirements.

Infrastructure and Collaboration

• Work closely with data engineering, technology, and platform teams to ensure infrastructure readiness for scalable risk AI/ML development and deployment such as data pipelines, model serving, ML Ops.
• Collaborate with the Group Analytics Centre of Excellence (CoE) and data governance teams to ensure timely access to high-quality and governed data assets.
• Promote reusability and interoperability of AI/ML components within risk platforms and enterprise ecosystems.
• Facilitate integration of AI/ML outputs into enterprise risk dashboards, reports, and workflows to support strategic and operational risk management.
