About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and driven NPI Engineer to lead new product introduction activities, focusing on UHP/HP (Ultra High Purity / High Purity) tubing and welding processes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, hands-on experience in orbital welding, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams throughout the NPI lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities

  • NPI Project Leadership
  • Lead and manage NPI projects from concept, prototype, qualification, and ramp-up to full production.
  • Welding Process Development
  • Develop, validate, and optimize orbital welding processes for UHP/HP tubing applications.
  • Ensure welding parameters meet performance, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with design, manufacturing, QA, and procurement teams to ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and smooth transition into production.
  • Process Documentation & Control
  • Prepare and maintain NPI-related documentation including PFMEA, NPI Entrance/Exit criteria, control plans, SOPs, and technical specifications.
  • Compliance & Standards
  • Ensure all processes comply with relevant standards such as ASME BPE, SEMI, AWS D18.1, and other applicable international requirements.
  • Audit & Qualification Support
  • Support internal and customer audits, equipment qualifications, and process validations.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and drive improvement initiatives to reduce cost, cycle time, and increase yield, efficiency, and overall product quality.

Qualifications

  • Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in NPI or process engineering, preferably in UHP/HP environments or semiconductor/precision manufacturing industries.
  • Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of orbital welding, GTAW/TIG welding principles, and purity standards.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom operations and UHP/HP requirements.
  • Tools & Systems
  • Proficiency in CAD software, ERP systems, and project management tools.
  • Certifications (Preferred)
  • ASME Section IX welding qualification or orbital welding certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM5, RM7,000.00 per month
