About the role

Kuah, Lim, Chin & Ooi is seeking a skilled Litigation Clerk to join our team in Johor Bahru, Johor. As a Litigation Clerk, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal professionals in all aspects of the litigation process. This is a full-time position that offers excellent opportunities for professional development and growth within our dynamic firm.

What you'll be doing

  1. Provide administrative support for the office
  2. Assisting with the filing of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  3. Organising and maintaining case files and documents in a well-structured manner
  4. Coordinating with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in litigation matters
  5. Providing administrative support to the litigation team as needed
  6. Ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures
  7. Staying up-to-date with Court dates and deadlines

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 1 year of experience as a Litigation Clerk or in a similar role
  2. Strong analytical skills and responsible
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal information in a clear and concise manner
  4. Meticulous attention to detail and a proven track record of maintaining accurate and organised records
  5. Proficient in using legal research tools and computer software, including Microsoft Office
  6. Proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
