Position Objective:

  • This position is a Business Partner in supporting and providing guidance to other departments in strategy formulation, implementation, and tracking; whilst keeping abreast with industry developments and channeling this critical information to senior management to drive the business.
  • This position also supports the Company's performance management especially in delivering timely and accurate insights of business performance.

Responsibilities:

Organizational Strategic Planning

  • Work as Business Partner to actively participate and provide challenge in the department's strategy formulation, implementation and tracking of long-term strategies and short-term initiatives.
  • Facilitate the timely preparation of the annual business plan and budget process across the business units in the organization, aligning to overall organization's strategies.

Performance Management

  • Engage respective partners, influence and assist the development of operational strategy implementation and appropriate dashboards to track key performance indicators.
  • Facilitate organizational business reviews to evaluate performance, monitor progress as well as gathering learnings/ insights. This includes assisting in preparing information for management report, daily sales report, etc.
  • Influence and engage in business development activities to achieve performance objectives and targets.
  • Provide ad-hoc project support for corporate-level management reporting.

Business Case

  • Review business' submitted Business Case and constant follow-up on the projects to find out on the progress.
  • Ensure preparation of Post Implementation Report after completion of the project or initiatives.
  • Conduct tracking of the responsible department's strategy performance and implementation, e.g. verification of benefit delivery after go-live.
  • Provide up-to-date business insights for decision making.
  • Build quality of relationship with internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance / Business / Actuarial Science.
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience. Experience in Actuarial and Consulting are an added advantage.
  • Highly numerate, diligent, resourceful and independent, ability to multi-task and prioritise.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate with senior management team, internal & external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities that can lead, influence and motivate to create a high performing team.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to navigate and maintain strong working relationships with other stakeholders.
