Jobs description :-

1. Inspection & testing

  • Conducting inspection of incoming material, in-process and finished product for first article sample (FAI) and mass production.
  • Be able to use Precision Measuring Equipment, such as digital micrometer, digital caliper, measuring tape, height gauge, and video measuring scope (VMS).
  • Maintain and ensure equipment is calibrated.
  • Examine raw materials, parts and finished products for defects or damage using blueprints, specifications, and various tools.

2. Process monitoring

  • Monitor production processes to ensure they are running smoothly and efficiently, making adjustments as needed.
  • Oversee production stages to ensure the comply with standards and identify issues with machinery or workflows.

3. Documentation and reporting

  • Record inspection result of incoming material, in-process, finished product and prepare first article report.
  • Prepare Non-Conformances Report (NCR) and Corrective Action Report (CAR).
  • Document inspection results, prepare reports on defects, and provide feedback to quality auditors or management.
  • Record all inspection results, test data, and any defects or nonconformities in logs and reports.

4. Defect identification and correction

  • Identify, report and analyze the root cause of defects, then collaborate with production and other teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.

5. Compliance

  • Ensure all products and processes comply with industry standards, company policies and relevant regulations.

6. Collaboration and problem-solving

  • Work with suppliers to address issues with incoming materials.
  • Work with production, engineering and other departments to resolve issues and improve product quality and efficiency.

7. Quality system maintenance

  • Assist in developing and maintaining quality control procedures, standards and documentation.

8. Training

  • Train other staff members on quality standards and best practices.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Attention to detail : A keen eye for detail is crucial for identifying subtle defects.
  • Technical skills : Proficiency with testing equipment, such as CMMs or vision machines and quality control methodologies.
  • Communication skills : Strong written and verbal communication for reporting, collaborating with teams and providing feedback.
  • Problem-solving : Ability to analyze issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Results-driven approach : A focus on achieving quality goals and improving processes.
  • Familiarity with quality standards : Knowledge of industry and company quality control standards and regulations .

Supporting duties

  • Training : May be involved in training new or junior quality control staff on procedures.
  • Audits : Participate in internal and external quality audits to verify compliance.
  • Safety : Follow all safety protocols during inspections and production activities to maintain a secure workplace.
  • Supplier communication : May inspect incoming raw materials and coordinate with suppliers to address quality issues.

Pay: RM1, RM2,500.00 per month
