Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail oriented Research and Grant Proposal Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, conducting background research and writing compelling grant proposals and supporting documents to secure funding from government agencies, foundations and other funding institutions. The role requires excellent writing skills, a strong understanding of program design and evaluation, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

I. Research & Identification:

Identify local, regional, and international grant opportunities, as well as potential

corporate sponsors, aligned with KSK's mission and objectives. Maintain up-to-date

databases of funding sources and sponsorship prospects.

II. Proposal & Program Development:

Develop compelling grant and sponsorship proposals, ensuring they effectively

communicate KSK's impact, objectives, and value proposition. Create a comprehensive

corporate sponsorship program with various levels and associated benefits.

III. Collaboration & Coordination:

Work closely with the Marketing Director and relevant teams to understand funding

needs, develop accurate budgets, and create promotional materials. Leverage KSK's

network to build relationships with prospective funders and sponsors.

IV. Compliance & Submission:

Ensure all proposals adhere to the formatting, content, and submission requirements.

Proofread, edit, and finalize proposals for high-quality submissions.

V. Relationship Management:

Establish and maintain positive relationships with funding agencies, donors, and

corporate sponsors. Provide timely updates on submissions, funding decisions, and

sponsorship fulfillment.

VI. Monitoring & Reporting:

Monitor grant expenditures and corporate sponsorship performance, ensuring

compliance and tracking return on investment. Assist in preparing required reports and

explore innovative sponsorship opportunities.

VII. Additional Responsibilities:

Support ad hoc tasks as needed based on KSK's evolving requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's preferred).
  • Proven experience in grant writing and research.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in related job scope.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.

Skills:

  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with grant management software and databases.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
