We are looking for a Purchasing Executive to handle day-to-day procurement tasks such as sourcing, negotiating, placing purchase orders and coordinating with suppliers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive and able to ensure smooth and cost-efficient purchasing processess.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible in assissting superior in organizing daily activities in the department in sourcing, selecting and negotiation with suppliers to constantly strive for the best price
  • Process the purchase orders by liaising with suppliers
  • Review stock purchase by current stock levels, lead time required for production, anticipation of forecast from customers and suppliers conditions
  • Manage local and overseas purchased materials
  • Ensure all the materials arrive in the Company following the production schedule
  • Control the inventory of material to the point of consumption
  • Arrange shipment of materials and to liaise with forwarders on services and costs
  • Develop and analyse information on data pricing, supply conditions, purchasing strategy, etc for improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business / Supply Chain Management or related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within the manufacturing purchasing environment.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Strong communication skills to effectively work with internally and externally
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing system

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3, RM4,500.00 per month
