Responsibilities:

1) Network & Infrastructure Management

a)    Plan, design and deploy new servers' architecture and network equipment both on-premises and in the cloud environments.

b)    Configure, maintain, and upgrade the University's infrastructure, including Windows and Linux servers, firewalls, router, switches, Wi-Fi infrastructure and monitoring tools.

c)    Proactively monitor the University's system and network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) to minimize service disruption and business impact.

d)    Manage backup and disaster recovery operations.

e)    ISP management, networking, routing, and switching.

2) Cybersecurity & Compliance

a)    Discover vulnerabilities and risks in networks, systems, and hardware through ongoing vulnerability scans and monitoring, ensure timely patching of hardware, systems, and applications.

b)    Review and ensure compliance of the University's network and systems with IT security policies and standards.

c)    Assist in implementing and maintaining cybersecurity solutions (e.g., firewalls, endpoint protection, SIEM).

d)    Respond to and investigate security incidents and breaches.

e)    Stay updated on current threats, vulnerabilities, and cybersecurity best practices.

3) Support & Documentation

a)    Prompt resolution of IT infrastructure–related issue tickets.

b)    Maintain documentation of server infrastructure, network configurations, security policies, and incident reports.

c)    Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders as needed.

Requirements:

1) Education & Certifications

a)    Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.

b)    Professional certifications such as CCNA, RHCSA, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, CISSP or higher are an advantage.

2.Experience & Skills

a)    Minimum 5 years of experience in managing IT Network and Infrastructure; experience in the education industry is preferred.

b)    Proven experience in a network and infrastructure administrator role.

c)    Hand-on experience with Windows Servers and various Linux distributions.

d)    Hand-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, HYPER-V, H3C CAS or other Hypervisor operation and maintenance.

e)    Hand-on experience with Firewall, Core Switches, Access switches, WiFi Controllers and various network infrastructure configuration.

f)     Hands-on experience with Cloud infrastructure (MS Azure, Alicloud, Huawei Cloud) – including design, setup, and administration.

g)    Hand- on experience in enterprise backup solutions and disaster recovery.

h)    Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

i)     Attention to detail with strong analytical mindset.

j)     Good communication and teamwork abilities.

k)    Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

l)     Proficiency in Mandarin (written and spoken) is an added advantage for communication with a Chinese-speaking user base.
