About the role

We are seeking a talented Senior Procurement Executive to join our dynamic team at BERJAYA CKE GROUP in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. As a full-time employee, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing factory, focusing on purchasing, procurement, and inventory management.

What you'll be doing:

Sourcing & Supplier Management

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure quality, cost-effective, and timely procurement packages.
  • Develop, qualify, and maintain supplier relationships, ensuring compliance, performance, and long-term partnerships.

Procurement & Purchase Order Management

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle, including purchase orders, contracts, and compliance with policies, ISO, SECC, and relevant regulations.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing, supplier data, and Approved Supplier List (ASL).

Cost & Inventory Control

  • Implement strategies for cost reduction, efficiency, and inventory optimization.
  • Coordinate stock planning, forecasting, auto-replenishment, and JIT purchasing to reduce risks of shortage or overstocking.

Logistics & Delivery Coordination

  • Ensure timely delivery of goods, manage import/export documentation, and resolve delivery issues.
  • Oversee disposal of scrap/waste in line with customs, SST, and compliance requirements.

Internal & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Marketing, Sales, and Finance to meet business needs.
  • Support new product launches, projects, and procurement-related reporting and analysis.

Quality & Claims Management

  • Work with Operations/Quality teams to evaluate suppliers, handle non-conforming materials, claims, and user complaints.

Leadership & Ethical Standards

  • Report to the Procurement Manager, complete assigned duties, and uphold professionalism, transparency, and ethical conduct.

What we're looking for (Job Requirements):

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5~6 years' experience in Procurement/Purchasing operations (preferably in Manufacturing industries).
  • Candidates should have demonstrated experience in managing the import purchase process, which includes sourcing products from international suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and procedures.
  • Familiar with customs clearance and import/export regulations.
  • Experience using ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
  • Strong negotiation, supplier management, and cost-saving skills.
  • Leadership ability and proactive attitude.
  • Able to travel between Nilai (Manufacturing Factory) and Cheras (Berjaya CKE - Corporate Office) as when required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Fluent in English; Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams on cost management and process improvements.
