About the role

This is a full-time position as a Finance Manager within the Kim Teck Cheong Group of Companies based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. As the Finance Manager, you will play a key strategic role in overseeing the financial accounting and reporting functions for the company. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in financial management to support the organisation's growth and success.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage the company's financial reporting and accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  2. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
  3. Analyse financial data and provide insights to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making
  4. Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, cash flow management, and other day-to-day financial operations
  5. Supervise and develop a team of finance professionals
  6. Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders
  7. Continuously identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls

What we're looking for

  1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  2. At least 5 years of proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a senior financial role
  3. Excellent knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and compliance requirements
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data
  5. Proficient in the use of financial software and Microsoft Office applications
  6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
  7. Proven track record of managing and developing a team of finance professionals
  8. Relevant professional accounting qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CIMA) are preferred
