Quantity Surveyor

Position: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Jalan Chain Ferry, Butterworth

Employment Type: Full-time

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9AM – 6PM

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimation, budget, and bills of quantities (BQ) for projects.
• Assist in tender preparation, quotation analysis, and procurement process.
• Evaluate and compare contractor and supplier quotations.
• Prepare progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs, control expenditures, and ensure cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and site teams to ensure accurate cost tracking.
• Conduct site measurements and verify work done.
• Maintain proper documentation and project cost records.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• 1–3 years experience in a similar role (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Knowledge in construction cost management, tendering, and contract administration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and measurement software (e.g. CostX). Glodon will be an advantage.
• Able to read architectural and engineering drawings.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Possess own transport and willing to visit site when required.
