About the role

As a Production Planner at Asia File Products Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in optimising the company's manufacturing operations. Based in our Bayan Lepas, Penang location, this full-time position will involve planning and scheduling production to meet customer demands efficiently and cost-effectively.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer orders and business objectives
  • Analyse production data and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity
  • Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure the smooth flow of materials and the timely delivery of products
  • Provide regular reports and updates on production performance to management
  • Implement and maintain production planning and control systems to enhance decision-making
  • Identify and resolve production-related issues, minimising disruptions to the manufacturing process
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of production planning and control procedures

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Operations Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a production planning or scheduling role, preferably in the manufacturing industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in using production planning and control software, such as ERP systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
