We are looking for a driven, resourceful, and detail-oriented intern to support our Business Development (BD) efforts. This is an opportunity to support high-impact proposals and pitch materials that shape strategic engagements across the public and private sectors.

Duration: 6 months

Location: Hybrid – Our office is based in Kuala Lumpur

Stipend: Provided

About the Role:

As a BD Intern, you will work behind the scenes to support our consultants in developing well-structured, visually polished, and research-backed proposals and decks. Your work will directly contribute to PEMANDU's efforts to pursue new opportunities and craft compelling narratives that win projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in formatting and refining PowerPoint decks, proposals, and internal BD documents.
  • Conduct background research to support proposal development (e.g. market data, sector trends, client profiles).
  • Organize and maintain content libraries, proposal templates, and reference materials.
  • Collaborate with consultants to ensure accuracy, consistency, and visual clarity in proposal materials.
  • Support quality checks and packaging of documents for submission.
Daily Tasks Might Include:
  • Reformatting a pitch deck to align with PEMANDU's branding.
  • Summarizing key insights from research to support a proposal section.
  • Updating statistics and figures in a recurring proposal template.
  • Compiling slides from different consultants into a cohesive final presentation.
  • Organizing folders and files for an upcoming submission.
What We're Looking For:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word; familiarity with basic formatting and visual presentation.
  • Strong research and writing skills—able to distill information clearly and concisely.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Interest in business development, consulting, or public policy is a plus.
