Job Responsibilities:

Growth in Income of the Department

Actively assist in the marketing for potential jobs where opportunity exists by:

  • Establishing client relationship

  • Providing value-added services

  • Introducing new products and innovative ideas and advices

  • Pricing of our services competitively

Investment Portfolio of Unrated Bonds / Sukuk

Evaluating, pitching, subscribing and managing unrated bonds / sukuk by:

  • Performing preliminary credit evaluation to determine suitability / debt repayment capability of the client

  • Pitching the unrated bonds / sukuk to clients

  • Preparing and submitting the necessary credit application documents for approval to subscribe for unrated bonds / sukuk

  • Managing the post-issuance processes such as monitoring the portfolio of unrated bonds / sukuk, carrying out periodic credit reviews, addressing ad-hoc request for consent / indulgence / variation of financing terms.

Retention of Valued Clients

  • By servicing clients satisfactorily and maintaining contact with the clients all the time.

Collection of Fees & Other Receivables

  • By close monitoring of the collection activities and keeping informed of the client's financial health.

Improvement of Working Environment in the Department

  • By assisting the Head of Department in the formulation and implementation of an effective internal system of policies and procedures.

Compliance with:

  • Statutory regulations / non-statutory guidelines and rules

  • Requirements of the authorities in the course of undertaking our jobs and advising our clients

  • AML/CFT/TFS requirements:

  • Comply with the requirements of the AML/CFT/TFS framework currently in force in the Bank and/or any amendments effected thereto together with the requirements of any other guidelines that may be introduced by BNM and SC from time to time.

Motivation of Subordinates (where relevant)

  • Providing guidance to subordinates involved in assignments.

  • Coaching, training and developing subordinates.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience

  • A basic degree in either finance or law or a professional qualification of equivalent standing with 3 - 5 years of experience in debt capital markets works.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Sound knowledge on all debt capital markets techniques, skills, products and regulations, backed with a strong interest and understanding of the capital market.

  • The person should also possess good interpersonal skills and general management skills.

Compliance

  • High standard of integrity in all business relationships should always be maintained;

  • Due skill, care and diligence must be given in providing any service or advice; and

  • There should be objectivity and independence in all professional and business judgement
