The Senior Service Specialist (Barista) plays a dual role of delivering excellent customer service while taking on leadership responsibilities within the outlet. In addition to preparing high-quality beverages and providing a great café experience, the Senior Service Specialist will guide junior baristas, support outlet operations, and ensure service excellence is consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

1. Beverage & Service Excellence

· Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages according to brand standards.

· Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all menu items.

· Deliver warm, friendly, and professional customer service.

2. Outlet Operations

· Assist Outlet Manager in overseeing daily café operations.

· Ensure compliance with hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.

· Handle cash transactions accurately and monitor daily sales reports when required.

· Manage stock levels and support inventory control.

3. Leadership & Training

· Act as a role model for junior baristas in service delivery and operational standards.

· Guide, mentor, and assist in training new hires on barista skills and customer service.

· Support in scheduling and delegating tasks to ensure smooth workflow.

4. Customer Engagement

· Build strong rapport with customers and manage feedback proactively.

· Resolve service-related issues effectively and maintain customer satisfaction.

· Promote new products and upsell menu items to enhance sales.

Job Requirements

· SPM / Diploma or equivalent qualification.

· Minimum 2–3 years' barista experience in F&B retail (café/coffeehouse environment preferred).

· Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, café equipment, and beverage preparation.

· Proven ability to handle customer service and operational duties effectively.

· Leadership skills with ability to guide and motivate a team.

· Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

· Good interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
