Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft and Refine Copy: Write, edit, and proofread all in-product copy, including UI text, microcopy, instructional messages, error states, and notifications.
  • Collaborate on Design: Work directly with product designers to shape the user experience from the ground up. Participate in design critiques, wireframing, and prototyping sessions to ensure copy and design work seamlessly together.
  • Establish and Maintain Voice and Tone: Contribute to and maintain our product's style guide and voice and tone guidelines. Ensure all copy is consistent, on-brand, and reflects our company's personality.
  • Conduct User Research: Partner with UX researchers to test and validate copy. Use user feedback, data, and usability findings to iterate on language and improve clarity.
  • Influence Strategy: Advocate for the user in all product decisions. Use your understanding of content strategy to help define product goals and user flows.
  • Work with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with product managers, engineers, and marketers to align on product goals and timelines, ensuring a cohesive user journey.
  • Contribute to a Culture of Clarity: Evangelize the importance of clear, accessible, and inclusive language across the organization.
