Konexo Legal Resourcing is a well-established and fast growing team created to meet demand for high quality interim lawyers, paralegals and legal project managers to support both clients and internal Eversheds Sutherland teams.

We are looking for
Securities Services lawyers
based in Malaysia.

What you should have:

• A legal background with a minimum 8 years' PQE.
• Excellent knowledge of a variety of traded markets master agreement documentation and their underlying products (in particular, ISDA Master Agreements and repurchase agreements, structured products, direct custody and securities services. agreements) and credit, legal, regulatory and operational issues.
• A solid understanding of the roles, responsibilities, dependencies and dynamics between key banking functions such as Sales, Trading, Counterparty Credit Risk, Market Risk, Treasury and Counterparty Exposure Management.
• Solid understanding of trustee and fiduciary duties in pertaining to unit trusts industry and direct custody and clearing business in Malaysia.
• Negotiating experience of derivatives master agreement documentation in connection with secured financing arrangements (e.g. syndicated loans, leveraged finance, club deals), in particular, from the perspective of a hedge counterparty.
• Ability to prioritise workload in terms of legal risk and commercial consideration.
• Prior experience in private trust litigation is a plus but not essential.
