About the role

We are seeking a talented Marketing & Research Executive to join our dynamic team at Mujur Lagenda Sdn Bhd in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This full-time role will be responsible for conducting market research, analysing data, assisting in branding development, applying AI tools or basic programming to improve workflow efficiency and creative output, and developing effective marketing strategies to support the company's growth objectives.

What you'll be doing

  1. Conducting market research to gather insights into customer preferences, industry trends, and competitor activity
  2. Analysing research data and translating findings into actionable marketing recommendations
  3. Developing and implementing targeted marketing campaigns across various channels
  4. Monitoring and reporting on the performance of marketing initiatives
  5. Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure marketing activities are aligned with the company's overall business strategy
  6. Staying up-to-date with the latest marketing trends and best practices

What we're looking for

  1. Degree in Marketing, Urban Planning, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience in market research, branding, real estate, or marketing roles (property or consulting sector preferred)
  3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights
  4. Basic knowledge of AI content tools. Utilise AI tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Canva AI, etc.) and willingness to learn
  5. Programming exposure (Python, SQL, Excel VBA) would be an advantage
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills (English & Mandarin essential; Mandarin beneficial for regional projects)
  7. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders
  8. Knowledge in using market research tools and software, such as Google Analytics, Qualtrics, or Tableau
  9. Knowledge of the local Sabah market and industry trends would be an advantage
