ASSISTANT (Kunak, Sabah)

Responsibilities:

  • To assist the Estate Manager in daily routine activities in estate operations such as field upkeep and Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) harvesting, evacuation, and collection.
  • To organize, supervise, train, coach, counsel, and assess team members toward achieving optimum productivity and work quality.
  • To liaise with relevant government departments as and when necessary, on estate requirements.
  • To ensure estate operations follow the policies and other related statutory regulations.
  • To assist in estate administration, such as employee discipline, safety, housekeeping, and security.
  • Other assignments that may be assigned from time to time as per directed by the Estate Manager/General Manager or PJHQ Management.
  • To cross-check monthly work programs, pocket check rolls, paperwork, and work progress.
  • To attend morning muster, ensure workers are following the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) guidelines, and monitor the crop.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess Diploma in Plantation or Agricultural Management or equivalent.

  • Minimum 3 years working experience as an Assistant or 10 years working at plantation sector.

  • Experience in MSPO Certification.

  • Experience in GIS/GPS Mapping Management.
  • Able to work independently, integrity and self-motivation.
  • Multitasking and resourceful.
  • Result-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Possess strong leadership, analytical, organizational, report writing and communication skill.
  • Computer literate.
  • Willing to be based in Kunak, Sabah.
