Job Description

  • Overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
  • Provide strategic financial direction to the General Manager and finance team.
  • Drive financial planning, risk management and cost control strategies to achieve business goals.
  • Represent the Finance Department in hotel meetings and support decision-making.
  • Preparation of management reports, financial statements and other financial related reports and correspondence
  • Analyse financial performance and provide regular updates to the General Manager and Corporate, Director of Finance.
  • To implement all necessary controls to safeguard the assets of the Hotel.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance of all financial reports.
  • Lead the annual budget process and monthly forecasting in coordination with department heads.
  • Track performance against budget and provide financial analysis and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree (MBA or Master's in Finance) preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, CFA are strong advantages.
  • 3–7 years of finance or accounting experience in the hotel or hospitality sector.
  • Experience with hotel accounting standards (USALI – Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry).
  • Strong background in hotel budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and revenue management.
  • Strong understanding of hotel KPIs such as RevPAR, GOPPAR, ADR, Occupancy %, and departmental profit margins.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, and labor cost management.
  • Ability to create daily revenue reports, profit & loss statements (P&L), cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-oriented mindset aligned with hospitality service culture.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM7, RM8,500.00 per month
