An established Malaysian group involved in manufacturing and chemical distribution is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the finance function and drive operational excellence across its growing business. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance leader who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with management to support business growth and financial sustainability.

About The Role
As the Finance Manager, you will oversee the company's full spectrum of finance and accounting operations — from financial reporting and compliance to cash flow management, budgeting, and cost control. You will also play a key role in improving financial processes, strengthening internal controls, and supporting strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full set of accounts, ensuring timely and accurate month-end closing and management reporting.
  • Oversee cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to support business growth and financial stability.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and audit requirements.
  • Implement and improve internal controls, accounting systems, and financial processes.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to management for decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Work closely with operations, sales, and procurement teams to monitor cost structures, margins, and profitability.
  • Liaise with external parties such as auditors, tax agents, and banks.
  • Manage and develop a small finance team, fostering accountability and professional growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MIA) are an added advantage.
  • Minimum 8 years of working experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures, inventory management, and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Hands-on, analytical, and proactive with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and communicate effectively across departments.
