About the role

As a Central Kitchen Supervisor at HOT BIRD SDN. BHD., you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of the central kitchen, ensuring the timely production and delivery of high-quality meals to our various outlets. This full-time role is based in Bandar Sunway, Selangor.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage and coordinate the daily activities of the central kitchen staff, including scheduling, task allocation, and performance monitoring
  2. Ensure all food preparation, cooking, and packaging processes adhere to food safety and hygiene standards and Halal compliance
  3. Monitor inventory levels and liaise with suppliers to maintain adequate stock of ingredients and supplies
  4. Troubleshoot any issues or challenges that arise in the kitchen and take appropriate corrective actions
  5. Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff to continuously improve their skills and efficiency
  6. Collaborate with the operations team to understand and meet the varying needs of our outlets
  7. Maintain detailed records and documentation related to kitchen operations

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a commercial kitchen or central production facility
  2. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen management best practices
  3. Excellent communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate a team
  4. Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  5. Proficient in inventory management and cost control
  6. Hands-on experience with kitchen equipment and a solid understanding of food costing and portion control
