OVERVIEW

  • Responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for medical consumable products. The role ensures cost-effective sourcing, reliable supply, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • The incumbent will collaborate closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to achieve optimal purchasing outcomes and support operational efficiency within the healthcare manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Lead sourcing and purchasing activities for medical consumables, ensuring timely supply to meet production and operational needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and service performance.
  • Conduct supplier evaluation, negotiation, and selection based on quality, cost, delivery, and sustainability criteria.
  • Monitor market trends, material cost fluctuations, and alternative sourcing opportunities to achieve cost savings and value improvements.
  • Prepare and analyse procurement data, reports, and cost comparisons to support sourcing decisions.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, procurement procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with Product Management, Regulatory Affairs, and Marketing teams to qualify new suppliers and materials.
  • Review and manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in sourcing projects or process enhancements.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing or purchasing roles.
  • Experience in medical consumable, healthcare or manufacturing is preferred.
  • Proven track record in supplier management, contract negotiation and cost optimization.
