Overview

The incumbent is to support the team in managing, predominantly, regulatory developments and to drive the Group's Compliance framework, initiatives and activities in line with the Group's strategic direction, regulatory and global standards to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, guidelines and standards governing the Group's operations.

Management of regulatory developments which entails the following key activities:

  • Scan regulatory websites / platforms on a daily basis for regulatory updates (in the form of laws, regulations, circulars, press releases, etc.).

  • Perform review of the relevant regulatory updates.

  • Disseminate key summaries of the regulatory updates to internal stakeholders.

  • Oversee, facilitate and follow-up on the progress of the gap analysis performed by the internal stakeholders.

  • Provide advice on the interpretation of the relevant regulatory updates.

  • Consolidate all responses received from the internal stakeholders with regard to each relevant regulatory update.

  • Continue to track and follow-up on the progress of any necessary action items in accordance with the responses received from the internal stakeholders, until their closures.

  • Prepare and finalize reports for the Senior Management, Board Committees, Board of Directors and the Group.

  • Assist to provide assurance to the Senior Management, the Board Committees and the Board of Directors that the Bank's compliance concerns are adequately managed.

  • Propose/recommend initiatives to reengineer existing internal processes to comply with new or revised regulatory requirements.
