Key Responsibilities:

CAD Design and Drafting:

  • Assist the team in developing detailed 3D models and 2D drawings utilizing CAD software.
  • Refine existing designs for enhanced efficiency and integration of new elements.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to necessary specifications and industry standards.

Collaboration with Design Team:

  • Collaborate intimately with senior mechanical engineers to grasp design necessities and project objectives.
  • Actively engage in team discussions about design ideas, challenges, and advancements.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of prototypes.

Supplier Interaction:

  • Facilitate communication with suppliers for procuring project materials and components.
  • Manage supplier relations to guarantee on-time delivery and quality assurance.
  • Negotiate and procure quotes from suppliers.

Learning and Professional Development:

  • Continuously update your knowledge on CAD software, design methodologies, and industry trends.
  • Seek and incorporate feedback from senior engineers for skill enhancement.
  • Participate in relevant mechanical design training and workshops.

Collaboration with Other Departments:

  • Work in conjunction with manufacturing, procurement, and sales teams to ensure the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of designs.
  • Address and resolve design-related issues during the manufacturing process.

Innovative Thinking:

  • Engage in creative brainstorming sessions and propose novel design solutions.
  • Embrace new ideas and methodologies in mechanical design.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Basic proficiency in CAD software, particularly CATIA.
  • Internship duration: 12 months.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa is highly advantageous.
  • Location: Klang, Selangor.
