JOB SUMMARY

This position leads the Total Portfolio Attribution Unit and is responsible for managing and executing the unit's strategic and operational plans. The role entails overseeing investment performance systems, analyzing portfolio returns across all asset classes, and conducting comprehensive studies to support EPF's investment objectives. It also includes leading research, monitoring activities, and producing performance dashboards and reports covering both income and return metrics.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Lead the oversight and analysis of EPF's investment performance across all asset classes, focusing on risk-return profiles, and ensure timely, accurate monthly and quarterly reporting.
  2. Conduct in-depth performance analysis of investment portfolios, assessing both absolute (Return on Investment and income) and relative (Time-Weighted Rate of Return) metrics, and present findings to the Investment Management Committee and Investment Panel.
  3. Prepare and deliver investment performance reports for relevant committees, aligned with Strategic Asset Allocation and inclusive of absolute and relative return insights.
  4. Ensure the accurate and timely integration of investment data—including EPF holdings and benchmarks—into performance systems such as CRIMS-PMAR or other relevant platforms, emphasizing automation and data completeness.
  5. Collaborate with units under the Total Fund Management & Attribution Section to develop reports and presentation materials on investment performance for external stakeholders.
  6. Engage closely with departments within the Investment Division to benchmark listed equity and fixed income investments against relevant indicators.
  7. Collaborate with the SAA, Actuarial & Analytics Section to provide data-driven insights supporting investment strategy development, particularly in relation to portfolio performance and benchmarking.
  8. Undertake other investment-related or administrative tasks as assigned by management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Malaysian citizen
  • Obtain a pass in Bahasa Melayu, including the oral test in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government
  • Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in Finance, Investment, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or an equivalent field recognized by the Government
  • At least 10 years of working experience in investment performance analysis, portfolio management, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and analysis
  • Skilled in preparing reports and presentations for senior management
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with top management, external professionals and other stakeholders
  • Professional certifications in CIPM & CFA would be an added advantage
