The QA/QC Engineer (or Inspector) is responsible for implementing and monitoring all quality assurance and quality control procedures on-site to ensure construction works comply with the approved project specifications, standards, and drawings. The role focuses on minimizing defects, ensuring workmanship quality, and maintaining documentation to support compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Quality Assurance Planning

Assist in the preparation and implementation of the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).

Ensure quality standards are communicated and enforced among all project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure company and client-specific quality procedures are applied.

Inspection & Testing

Conduct routine and special inspections of construction activities to verify conformance to drawings, specifications, and standards.

Inspect incoming materials and equipment delivery to ensure compliance with specifications and approvals.

Prepare checklists and carry out pre-installation, and post-work inspections.

Education & Experience (Basic requirement for this position)

  • Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 1-2 years in QA/QC for electrical systems (construction, oil & gas, power plants, or infrastructure).

Skills and attributes

  • Good understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and project lifecycles.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the planning function.
