Customs Declaration Executive

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit customs declarations via SMK/DagangNet, uCustoms, or other relevant systems.

Ensure accuracy of HS codes, tariff classification, and declared values in all documentation.

Liaise with Customs officers, Port authorities, and other government agencies (e.g. MITI, MAQIS, SIRIM) to ensure timely clearance.

Verify shipping documents (invoice, packing list, bill of lading, permits, etc.) before submission.

Monitor shipment status and resolve any customs or inspection issues promptly.

Maintain records of all customs submissions and approvals in compliance with company policy.

Coordinate closely with Operations, Warehouse, and Transport teams to ensure on-time cargo release and delivery.

Ensure full compliance with Malaysian Customs Act, Free Zone Regulations, and company SOPs.

Assist in preparing reports for management on clearance performance and delays.

Support audit and documentation review activities when required.

Requirements:

Diploma / Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

Minimum 1–3 years of experience in customs declaration, preferably in logistics or freight forwarding.

Familiar with uCustoms, DagangNet, or similar e-declaration systems.

Knowledge of HS code classification, import/export procedures, and relevant government permits.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Able to work independently under tight deadlines.

Possess Customs Agent (ejen kastam) license or willing to pursue it (added advantage).
