About the role

Exciting opportunity for an experienced dynamic Senior Project Engineer to join the growing team at Active Energy Management (Malaysia) SDN.BHD. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of complex high resilience engineering systems for data centre space, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards and required timelines.

What you'll be doing

  • Participate in the planning, design validation, and implementation of data centre electrical, mechanical, and infrastructure.
  • Manage the work of partner multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors, to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to support the development of innovative data centre technical solutions.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, and implement appropriate risk management strategies.
  • Monitor and report on project progress and quality on-site and for prefabricated offsite modular elements and major equipment.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery processes and procedures within a vibrant team.

What we're looking for

  • Prefer degree / MEng in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services Engineering or a related field.
  • Preferred 8+ years of relevant experience in data centre engineering or a similar technical role.
  • Proven track record successfully driving complex engineering projects within the data centre industry
  • Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure construction quality and commissioning requirements.
  • Excellent project management skills, with ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and navigate stakeholder relationships.
  • Proficient in the use of Office, and construction / project management tools and software
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations
