About the role

Mayang Muara Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled Wireman PW4 to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. As a Wireman PW4, you will be responsible for performing electrical installations and maintenance work to support our operations. This is a full-time position that offers opportunities for career development within a growing organisation.

What you'll be doing

  1. Electrical Installation & Maintenance

  2. Perform installation, wiring, testing, and commissioning of LV electrical systems in compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) regulations.

  3. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of switchboards, distribution boards, power outlets, lighting, cabling, and other electrical components.

  4. Troubleshoot electrical faults, diagnose problems, perform repairs, and restore electrical systems with minimal downtime.

  5. Compliance & Safety

  6. Ensure all electrical works comply with the Electricity Supply Act 1990, IEE Wiring Regulations, and ST requirements.

  7. Adhere to proper Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) and safety procedures when working on live or hazardous systems.

  8. Conduct periodic inspections of electrical installations and report non-compliances, hazards, or safety issues.

  9. Facilities Support

  10. Support daily building operations by ensuring continuous and stable electrical supply.

  11. Assist in electrical system upgrades, energy-saving initiatives, and improvement projects.

  12. Provide technical support for refurbishment, renovation, and expansion works.

  13. Documentation & Reporting

  14. Maintain accurate electrical maintenance records and update CMMS or logbooks.

  15. Prepare reports on faults, repair activities, testing results, and energy usage when required.

  16. Assist in managing inventory of electrical spare parts, tools, and consumables.

  17. Teamwork & Coordination

  18. Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and M&E technicians to provide integrated facility support.

  19. Supervise contractors and vendors performing electrical works on-site.
  20. Liaise with utility providers and authorities (e.g., TNB, ST) for inspections, meter readings, and compliance audits.

What we're looking for

  • Possess PW4 Wireman Competency Certificate (Suruhanjaya Tenaga)
  • Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety, regulations, and standards
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Physically fit and able to perform hands-on tasks
