Job Description

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurately processing and managing the company's payroll in a timely manner. This role ensures compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies. The Payroll Specialist will work closely with HR and Finance teams to maintain employee records, calculate salary components, and resolve payroll-related inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.
  • Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and leave balances.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records in the HR/payroll system.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Prepare payroll reports for HR and Finance departments.
  • Handle employee queries regarding salary, deductions, and benefits.
  • Collaborate with HR on new hires, terminations, and employee data updates.
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and submit mandatory social insurance, tax filings, and related documentation.
  • Support year-end payroll closing and audit activities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in payroll processing or HR operations.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, labor law, and tax requirements.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, ADP, Oracle, or local payroll software).
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM5, RM6,000.00 per month
