Position: Purchasing Assistant/ Executive

Working Location: Senai

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm)

Salary: RM3.5k to RM5k (Depending on last drawn salary & experience)

Benefits: Transport Allowance, Attendance Allowance, Annual Leave, Medical Leave, Quarterly Bonus.

Job Descriptions:

  1. Assist in managing overall purchasing activities for the company.
  2. Source and select vendors, obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and place orders for goods and services.
  3. Provide market insights on new/compatible products, price trends, and forecasts to management.
  4. Enter purchase data into the system to generate purchase orders.
  5. Maintain accurate records of purchase transactions, including vendor details, pricing, delivery schedules, and inventory levels using autocount software.
  6. Follow up to ensure timely delivery of goods, confirming the right quantity and quality.
  7. Assess and evaluate suppliers' performance, ensuring compliance with contracts and driving performance improvements.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Requirements:

  1. At least 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience in purchasing.
  2. Familiar with the procurement process and able to complete procurement work independently.
  3. Have good market analysis and interpersonal communication skills.
  4. Strong sense of service, work conscientiously and carefully, sensitive to price, have strong bargaining and negotiation skills, and have strong teamwork spirit
  5. The candidate must be able to communicate in English, Mandarin-speaking ability is an additional advantage.
