About Us:
We are opening an exciting new café-restaurant concept set to open soon at The Linc, Kuala Lumpur. This will be the 3rd restaurant under the IMS F&B Group, which comprises Locarasa at Bamboo Hills and Khan's Indian Cuisine at Bangsar South. Designed to be a vibrant culinary destination, we celebrate artisan desserts, premium ingredients, and modern pastry techniques. We aim to create a space that delights the senses, inspiring guests with every flavours, texture, and presentation. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Senior Pastry Chef/ Sous Chef, specializing in cakes and pastries to lead our dessert menu and set new standards of excellence in our kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Pastry Chef/ Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in creating memorable desserts, training the team, and maintaining high standards of quality. Responsibilities include:
- Pastry & Dessert Creation
- Conceptualize, create and execute a wide range of cakes, pastries, and plated desserts.
- Innovate and experiment with new recipes while maintaining signature dessert quality.
- Kitchen Leadership & Operations
- Assist in managing pastry team operations, ensuring smooth workflow and timely delivery.
- Maintain consistent quality, taste and presentation across all items.
- Quality & Standards
- Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards.
- Monitor ingredient quality and manage kitchen inventory efficiently.
- Team Development & Culture
- Mentor, train and inspire junior pastry staff.
- Foster a collaborative and creative kitchen environment.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with the Head Chef and management to deliver exceptional guest experiences through desserts.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Pastry Chef/ Sous Chef in a reputable bakery, patisserie, or high-volume restaurant.
- Strong expertise in cakes, pastries, and plated desserts.
- Creative flair and passion for innovative dessert design.
- Leadership skills and ability to train and motivate a team.
- Knowledge of kitchen management, portion control and cost management.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paces, high-pressure environment.
