Job Summary

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for full-spectrum accounting, cost control, and financial reporting across trading, property, and machinery business units. The role ensures accurate financial data, monitors project and operational costs, controls expenditures, and supports management in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL) for trading, property, and machinery divisions.
  • Perform cost control activities: track expenses, analyse variances, monitor budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and consolidation reports.
  • Monitor inventory, fixed assets, project costs, and depreciation schedules.
  • Review supplier invoices, purchase orders, claims, and payment vouchers for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounts.
  • Assist in budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain proper documentation, filing, and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist with financial controls, internal audits, and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably with exposure to cost control.
  • Strong knowledge of full-set accounts, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (UBS, Autocount, or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple business units.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM6, RM7,000.00 per month
